Mojo Losing Its Mojo


The darling child of indie agencies, Mojo Supermarket seems to be spreading a lot of bad mojo recently.

The agency has seen two rounds of layoffs, one last December where it laid off 14% of its staff following the loss of Facebook and one recently affecting around 8-10 people. This seems more egregious considering the highly paid new CFO, David Burron, and President, Armando Turco, they hired along with an office redesign.

Dubbed by Snitchers as “the Jesus bearded new Gary V”, many place the blame on founder, Mo who’s recent dancing antics on LinkedIn failed to get him a spot on the hit TV show, Dancing with the Stars.

But for Mojo apologists, there’s hope yet as the agency just posted they got ranked among the Top 10 Global Indy Agencies, Top 50 Agencies overall, with the 14th most awarded campaign on the planet in the WARC Creative 100.
